Today is our sweet, baby girl's third birthday. We celebrated here and hoped that she was being celebrated in China and she was. With the help of Ann at Red Thread, our Kailey was wearing a pretty new dress and had a beautiful cake. We were so excited when Ann emailed the pictures to us. There she is... a smiling girl! We hadn't seen a smile yet.

In other news we received our immigration approval today and are now waiting on a "cable from NVC". I don't even know what that is. It's just another step in the process. We should have that by weeks end and then we can wait for Article 5, which takes 2 weeks - no more, no less (In other words don't call them - it will be two weeks.) Then we wait for TA and then we book flights.
Grandma M. has made tremendous progress on Kailey's christmas stocking. David, Michael and I all have coordinating stockings, made with much of my time and love, not to mention felt, sequins and beads. With my sweet but active boy around, I knew such a stocking was too much work for me now but Grandma stepped in and is making her a beautiful stocking. Thanks, Mom. It will be treasured.
