On December 3rd, 2007 our son, Michael, was placed in our arms. He was 14 months old and we were in Changsha, China. Three years and three days later, his sister, Kailey, joined our growing family in Guangzhou, China. Thanks to all of you that follow our journey.

The room is ready... where is Kailey?

Well, we've been busy, busy, busy nesting. The house has been cleaned out to make room for the new addition. We've created a toy area in the basement. David had to give up part of the man cave, but he still owns a significant portion of the basement. We had a yard sale and we've made the former computer room a beautiful room fit for a princess. Still a few finishing touches to be done but it is mostly ready and I love it. We are all planning to sleep in there one night soon.

Yes, we are again waiting on paperwork. We are at two and a half weeks waiting for immigration. Three weeks is the norm, so hopefully next week is our week. Then we file some more papers (again on the US side) and wait some more. It's looking less likely that well get to travel in November and more likely that we'll be repeating our last adoption trip by going in December. If obsessing could make it go faster, we'd already be back.
