On December 3rd, 2007 our son, Michael, was placed in our arms. He was 14 months old and we were in Changsha, China. Three years and three days later, his sister, Kailey, joined our growing family in Guangzhou, China. Thanks to all of you that follow our journey.

The best friends and family ever

At eleven thirty we arrived home. Our friends and family were mostly still there. Those with young children couldn't wait it out, but the group was still large and excited. We love and appreciate everyone that came to welcome us home (both those who stayed and those who couldn't) and also appreciate the the love and support, we received throughout the adoption process. We felt like movie stars tonight at the airport, very tired but excited movie stars. Love to you all.

When we pulled into our neighborhood, Michael said "yippy we're home". That says is all. Thank you to Aunt Patty and family for decorating the house. There were welcome signs, "it's a girl" signs and balloons everywhere. Michael was thrilled to find balloons in his room. Kailey was like a kid in a toy store.

We went to bed about three. Michael, David and I have been up since six. Kailey is sleeping peacefully, which is ironic, as she's the one that woke us up. She had a rough night but is sleeping now. It'll take us a few days to settle in and get on KY time.

I was just wondering, if we email Ike, can he have "no name" place deliver? I may never be able to eat American Chinese food again. MMM, that chicken dish sounds great. Is is 8 am or pm?
