On December 3rd, 2007 our son, Michael, was placed in our arms. He was 14 months old and we were in Changsha, China. Three years and three days later, his sister, Kailey, joined our growing family in Guangzhou, China. Thanks to all of you that follow our journey.

Folk Art Museum

Today was the Folk Art Museum. We arrived to discover that it was free to the public today and apparently everyone in town knew about it. There were thousands in line. Our guides were clearly surprised but pulled out a FTIA flag and talked the people at the gate into letting us cut line.
The building itself was the coolest part. It has a very open style with courtyards. The art was impressive. The pictures are of carved ivory and embroidery.
It wasn't the best place to take 3 and 4 year olds too, but we managed to see some art and buy a few souvenirs.

Looks like the remainder of the day will be spent hanging out in the room. We are all tired. I can't eat more rice. Maybe we'll order Papa Johns tonight.
